Conference “Reform Experience in Belarus and Germany: Coverage in Media”

On September 22-23, 2011 the Belarusian Economic Research and Outreach Center (BEROC) in co-operation with Friedrich-Ebert Fund organized the conference for journalists "Reform Experience in Belarus and Germany: Coverage in Media".

The conference raised the questions on implementation of economic reforms and their coverage in Belarusian and Eastern German media. Besides analyzing economic situation and reform processes, there were discussed the problems of privatization and social aspects in economic transformations.

Thomas Jurk and Dietrich Schroeder were the key speakers at the conference, BEROC economists joined the discussions as well.
 
Journalists from Belarusian national, regional and local mass media and representatives from academic community took part in the conference.
