BEROC participates in the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM), a major international research initiative that studies entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial activity, and attitudes towards entrepreneurship across countries.
BEROC was the first and remains the only research center from Belarus to participate in GEM, bringing Belarus into this international comparative research framework. Participation in the project makes it possible to study entrepreneurship in Belarus using internationally comparable methodologies and to place developments in the Belarusian entrepreneurial ecosystem in a broader global context.
BEROC prepared its first GEM report on Belarus in 2019–2020 and its second report in 2021–2022. Work on the third report began in 2024, and the report was published in early 2026.
Through its participation in GEM, BEROC contributes data and research on Belarus to the international study of entrepreneurship while providing a comparative perspective on the development, challenges, and potential of entrepreneurship in the Belarusian economy.
