BEROC tyrimų centras, VšĮ (BEROC TC) hereby informs its partners and the wider public that the Cooperation Agreement concluded between our organization and Europos humanitarinis universitetas, VšĮ (EHU), which resulted in the establishment and successful operation of the BISEB School of Economics and Business within EHU, will terminate on 30 September 2026.
BEROC TC has been and remains committed to the mission of consolidating and strengthening Belarusian human capital in the fields of economics and business (E&B). The establishment and development of BISEB, as well as BEROC TC’s leading role in the School’s activities, were therefore a deliberate strategic choice on our part. Over the course of three years, under BEROC’s leadership, an institution was built from the ground up, offering modern E&B programs with high standards of quality. BISEB has become a key platform for talented Belarusian students seeking modern European education in economics, as well as a hub in the EU for Belarusian academics and the business community.
During the last year, the strategic visions of BEROC TC and EHU regarding the development of Belarusian human capital, including E&B programs and the future development of BISEB, have diverged. Based on its own assessment of the internal situation and external circumstances, EHU, within its institutional authority, decided to gradually incorporate BISEB into the University’s structure leaving no formal role for BEROC in the operations of BISEB.
Despite these differing strategic approaches, the parties have agreed to maintain their partnership, albeit in a more limited format. Until February 2029, BEROC TC researchers will remain willing to continue teaching at BISEB and providing research opportunities to the School’s students, with a particular focus on the student cohorts formed during the period of BEROC’s leadership of the School. From October 1, 2026, responsibility for BISEB’s further development, the quality of its academic programs, and the organization of the educational process will be assumed by EHU.
