Development patterns and prospects of Belarusian businesses abroad
In 2020-2023, one of the most notable phenomena for Belarusian businesses was the forced mass “internationalization” manifested in the relocation of Belarusian companies and employees, the opening of offices, and the launch of new businesses primarily in neighbouring countries. This process has driven entrepreneurs to review and re-invent business-models and patterns of doing business. New market conditions, regulatory environment, cultural differences: all this requires businesses to adapt and innovate in order to survive and develop.
Based on the results of in-depth interviews with Belarusian business owners in Poland and Lithuania, this article analyses the factors of competitiveness and development of companies with Belarusian roots and the key prerequisites for adapting their business models to new conditions.
